Vancouver Whitecaps FC Tickets/Seat Strategy

I was thinking about the Whitecaps and their upcoming MLS match against Toronto FC, and I realized that I haven't even made plans regarding tickets and seating! So if you're relatively new to the Whitecaps, and you're interested in going to see some matches, I've decided to find out all the useful information possible, and post it here for people looking for tickets etc.

Right away, the first link you need to check out is the Tickets page on the Vancouver Whitecaps website. From there you can find all the different packages regarding season tickets. The handy image of the stadium shows how the seating is organized, and you can see how much it costs to have a season ticket for each section.

The prices are relatively high compared to other MLS clubs, but you have to remember that you'll be in the stunning BC Place stadium, hopefully watching the Whitecaps playing well and winning.
Yellow seems like the most reasonable of all the choices in my opinion
While you may find this image perfect in helping you decide what section you're interested in, I recommend that you also check out the awesome Virtual Venue. It's an accurate 3D model of the BC Place stadium, allowing you to look at seating options easier, also giving you a view of what the field will look like from every row of every section!

While I'm still not sure about what seating/ticket arrangement I'll go for, I've narrowed it down to probably Yellow or Aqua (see first image if you have no idea what I'm talking about). If you're unsure regarding this as well, I suggest you watch the following video regarding Whitecaps Seat Selection strategy, featuring the Whitecaps FC coach Teitur Thordarson.

Am I the only one that found that video slightly funny? Well in case you didn't, it hopefully pointed you in the right direction regarding your Vancouver Whitecaps FC tickets/seating strategy.

Happy Holidays From Whitecaps FC!

I'm not a big fan of cheesy, but when I saw this rendition of "Twas the Night Before Christmas" by staff at the Whitecaps, it made me smile, just a little. The video features Bob Lenarduzzi, and plenty of other important people who are managers, directors, assistants, and coordinators (often unnoticed and overlooked by us fans). While I think a couple of players should've been thrown in (dressed as reindeers along with coach Teitur dressed as Santa Claus) the video, this is still very awesome of the people over at Whitecaps FC.

Wish every club in the world would do their own rendition, competing for best rendition of the year. Right now, the Whitecaps are winning!

With this vid, the blog wishes you readers Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!

Whitecaps FC Become Partners With EA Sports

The Vancouver Whitecaps are slowly making history. They'll be the first MLS club to partner with videogame giants EA Sports, and feature in the FIFA Soccer videogame series. While you may think that this is no big deal, and that all professional clubs are partnered with EA Sports, well you're wrong. The Whitecaps will be joining an elite group of clubs which include Chelsea FC, Arsenal FC, Real Madrid FC and a select few of others.

Thanks to this partnership, we'll be seeing the Whitecaps in FIFA 12, along with the BC Place Stadium in the game! I'm really looking forward to playing Career Mode with the Whitecaps at the BC Place stadium. What this also means is that Whitecaps players will help out in motion testing, and that FIFA 12 will have a special cover edition, just for Vancouver.

While some may think that this is just some stupid partnership that will be useless in the development of the Whitecaps, I don't. It shows that not only are the Whitecaps ready to be known around the world as a team with big aspirations, but it also shows that they're embracing new technology, something which doesn't always happen in soccer/football.

Here below are some pretty cool images of Whitecaps players, in the FIFA videogame! They got the numbers on DeMerit wrong (he's actually number 6), but this news was announced some time ago. If you're interested in an in depth review of FIFA 11, you can read a review here.

Jay DeMerit Autograph Session Tuesday Dec.13th!

First of all, sorry about the lack of updates, I've not been keeping up with the Whitecaps, and I'll be looking to update much more often.

I wanted to inform any people in the greater Vancover area that the new Vancouver Whitecaps signing, Jay DeMerit will be having a special autograph session tomorrow, Tuesday December 13th! The USA international will be at the Whitecaps FC store in Metrotown from 7-8pm, signing autographs, meeting fans, and having a good time.

I'll try to get out there and get an autograph, maybe even a picture, but I'm still not sure if I can make it. But in case you don't have much to do tomorrow, I truly advise you to check out the Whitecaps FC store, and meet a fantastic soccer player while you're there!

A Simple Whitecaps blog

This is just a simple Whitecaps blog from a soccer fan living in Vancouver, check out my other blog, Soccer Wrap Up, and I write articles for multiple sites like Serie A Talk, Bundesliga Talk, Premiership Talk, and Soccerlens.

I'll try to report as much news as I can find about the caps, and with time I hope that the blog grows and gets a fan-base to support the Whitecaps.
